Al`s Delicatessen in New York City

Great food, excellent service, and clean place. The selection was great and the salad bar was huge! I got the Chicken Parm Hero (it was excellent), my fiance got the baked ziti with chicken (excellent), mom got grilled chicken breast with veggies ( excellent) and sis got chicken tenders (crispy and tasty). Great prices for what you get. Will be back to give breakfast a shot!

The gentleman behind the counter was very pleasant, and efficient. After giving our order he started to put our baguettes together, all this whilst doing another 2 baguettes. We enjoyed a "Philly Cheese Steak", and a "Chicken Parm". After our order we were kindly given a free lemonade.

Very rude to customers especially foreigners like we don't understand them. For sure it's was an unpleasant experience during our vacation in New York. Sorry but you have to serve everyone the same way and telling your daughter or the cashier it's taking "forever" just for two small salad, it's quite impolite. Be nice and smile to customers 😊 for example will be a start.

Good food very busy

When eat New York, eat like a New Yorker. Perhaps nowhere is this more possible than at Al's Deli. The variety of offerings takes up the entire 75 foot long back wall, and customizations are aplenty. The Reuben is a personal favorite, and eats are cheap: A two egg, breakfast meat, and toast plate runs 4 bucks. Upstairs seating is available to watch the stalled traffic on 7th Ave. from a climate-controlled, semi-quiet environment. Very clean.

Good food made right there in front of you. friendly guy at the counter. Cheese grilled sandwich is great! Chicken quesadillas (#26 on menu) was good too. Open late night so can't complain.

Long established, run down - perfect local experience! Great value, service and right next to Macy’s. We had the avocado and toast for breakfast! Brilliant no fuss eatery which the Instagram/trip-advisor crowd haven’t flooded yet!

A great place to get a sandwich, just to get some good food! Additionally for New Yorkers there is the ambiance of a city deli; the high paced service, the smells and deli foods, the lunchtime crowd. If you work or live near there you probably enjoy the convenience of such a nice eatery.

Food was ok, but what turns me off is a disrespectful cashier ! The ( B!tch ) was sooo Disrespectful I would never spend another dollar here 🚫

Purchased a $5 and a $3.50 sandwich ($8.50) and when I added one vitamin water to the order it somehow came out to $15.50. When I asked the cashier to explain herself and how much the water costed (how could it be 7 bucks) she started rattling off in Spanish and basically said all but “no speak English” to avoid explaining her math. The sandwich’s were good but being treated like a dumb white tourist who can’t add despite living around the city for over two decades rubbed me the wrong way severely.

Awesome place. Great food, nice portions, fun atmosphere. Our group loved everything they ordered. Very friendly staff. Will come again when in NYC!!!

I enjoyed this place, it's basically your better than average fast food. I came at 2:00am, the guy working the night was funny and super nice for working at a 24/7 joint. Great for a quick bite when in a rush

Sandwiches will be microwaved and then panini pressed, and come out very hot, over cooked and stale. They have a lot of choices though, including freshly made salads and some hot sandwiches.

I went there on sunday March 24,2019 they were 2 so but not george the other one dud, even he tried to give me bad food which wasn't in a frigrator even, he is disrespectful don't want to serve customer manager should focus on him,doesn't have passion to sell,work just very bad for the restaurant even. ...

That's good healthy food in NY, affordable price

The only one good thing about this place is it's hash. They are not honest with taxes by making up the number that is not even close to accurate tax. It's like they charged 10-11% tax!!! Yes, that's pretty high. I wish I checked the price before I paid. Watch out for them. Rude staff too. Apparently, I'm not the only one who has this issue. Check the recent reviews before you go to this location.

I always come here after a Spa day with my bestie. We always get the usual Chicken Parmesan and baked ziti. It's simply delicious and very inexpensive. They give you a lot for $9. The cashier can be a little busy so pack your patience. There's a sitting area in the back where you can enjoy your food. The price of breakfast and lunch is not not bad either. If you want a egg, bacon and cheese on a roll, that cost $3. That bad!

My Go to Deli in Midtown ,NYC . Their 4$ Toast, Two eggs any style, Home fries and Bacon is super cheap for quantity and quality. When I am hungry I get Number 4 (Two eggs scrambled, Bacon, Hash browns) and Cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese spread which costs about 6.7$ for breakfast that makes you full till afternoon.They dont accept credit cards for orders under 5$

Excellent short order for breakfast and lunch. I come here on Saturdays for breakfast. The people are nice and the food is made to order quickly. If you are looking for a quick bite, this is a good place.

Lady behind counter is very rude and talks to you like an idiot. They haven't heard of hospitality. Menu and ordering is confusing.

Twice I purchased a bacon egg and cheese. And the bacon tastes extremely old and seems like they soak it in oil overnight. And another time i purchased french toast , and the syrup was so old it was in jelly form. So disgusting.

This little joint is the best! Next time we comeback we'll totally be back to this spot. Great place for food prepared fast, fresh and at really good price. They get really packed for lunch rush just be patient they will take care of you. Came in during a peak hour and they took care of us in like 5 minutes.

This was for our team! It was hot and delicious and a ton of foodEggs, home fries, toast, French toast, pancakes, bacon and sausage oh my! Plus all the extras you need that most places forget😐Oh and the pricing was on point!Maria who took my order is always great(this is my 2nd time ordering with them)! Tourist review: My family and I loved this place. Great food, great portions, and fantastic price! We came at the lunch rush and the staff was seriously moving to keep up. Dont come in during a rush and think the order and pay process is normal tho. Order, step away, get your food when ready, go around the crowd and pay.

It's a small, simple, and affordable deli that I have no complaints about. The staff is nice and my breakfast sandwich always tastes good.

Love this Deli reminds me of Surburban Eats in Farmingdale, NY. Best place to Eat when you're in Manhattan and you are a Long Islander.
